APT Brisbane

The Asia Pacific Triennial Gallery of Modern Art Brisbane

The seventh Asia Pacific Triennial  is exhibiting in Brisbane's Gallery of Modern Art GOMA and in the neighbouring Queensland Art Gallery QAG from December 2012 to April 2013.
The major focus this year is on the current ( I use the term Current rather than the loaded term Contemporary) art of Papua and New Guinea. Among other nations exhibited are Indonesia, China, India, New Zealand,Vietnam and Pacific Island nations. This year, particularly strong contributions by Aboriginal artists from Australia enrich the exhibition.
